Our Mission
Marshfield FACTS is Marshfield’s community coalition for substance use prevention. The “FACTS” of the Marshfield FACTS Coalition name stands for Families, Adolescents and Communities Together against Substances, which embodies what our community-owned and community-led coalition stands for today.
We are dedicated to decreasing the underage use of nicotine, alcohol, and marijuana, decreasing the misuse of prescription medications and decreasing the use of illegal drugs.
Marshfield FACTS aims to increase both the physical and mental wellbeing of Marshfield residents by employing evidence-based programs to raise awareness of the dangers of substance misuse and make positive cultural changes.
By connecting youth, parents, the business community, media, schools, youth serving organizations, law enforcement agencies, religious and fraternal organizations, civic and volunteer groups, healthcare professionals, state and local agencies with expertise in the field of substance abuse, and other organizations involved in reducing substance abuse, Marshfield FACTS endeavors to make measurable change.
All members of our community participate in our work: parents, youth, business owners, clergy, medical professionals, school guidance, media, board of selectmen, police, treatment professionals, health educators, people in recovery, teachers, and administrators.
